Program OverviewThe Integrated Medicaid Enrollment Program (IMEP) is collaboration between New Mexico Primary Care Association (NMPCA) and the New Mexico Human Services, Medical Assistance Division. The purpose of the IMEP Program is to enroll uninsured New Mexicans in the various Medicaid Programs offered by the State. NMPCA has contracted with fourteen Federally Qualified Health Centers and nine Sub-Contractors for outreach and enrollment efforts into the Medicaid program. These members through certified determiners identify, screen and conduct eligibility interviews for uninsured New Mexican of MAD Programs. NMPCA provides technical assistance to members through various means:
Overall the IMEP program as a result of these partnerships has enrolled approximately 80,000 uninsured New Mexicans in the last four years. This is a great accomplishment taking into account this frees up ISD workers thus saving time, money and resources for the State of New Mexico, in addition to providing a much needed statewide service. |
